Oxtail, curry goat and a meat market: D&D Meat is finally online
A small Jamaican take-out spot on Port St. Lucie Blvd has fed this community for years without a website. So I built them one.

By the numbers
If you live in Port St. Lucie and you’ve never been to D&D Meat, you’ve been driving past one of the best plates of oxtail in the city.
I’ve been going for years. It’s on Port St. Lucie Blvd, right off Airoso. Small, family-run, mom and pop. Jamaican take-out at the counter. A West Indian meat market and Caribbean grocery in the same room.
Until this week, the only way to see the menu was to walk in and pick one up.
What you’re walking into
Two businesses under one roof.
The kitchen. Oxtail, curry goat, jerk chicken, jerk pork, brown stew chicken and curry chicken. Dinners come with rice and peas or white rice, provisions and two sides. Seafood is done to order, so give it about 30 minutes.
The market. Fresh goat, oxtail, chicken, pork, pork ribs, fish, steak and salted pork tail, plus the seasonings and spices to cook it right. There are Jamaican drinks and Caribbean snacks on the shelf too.
Know the schedule
Some of the best things on the menu only show up one day a week. Plan around it.
- Lunch special, 11 AM to 1 PM: Jerk chicken, jerk pork, brown stew or curry chicken for $6.99 (mini) or $8.50 (regular). Curry goat is $7.99 or $9.50.
- Monday to Thursday: soup of the day.
- Tuesday and Thursday: Barbie fried chicken.
- Friday: cow foot dinner and goat head soup.
- Saturday: stew peas and cow foot soup.
Oxtail is $17 for a medium and $24 for a large. If it’s your first time, start there.
What regulars say
D&D sits at 4.3 stars from 257 Google reviews. The oxtail comes up a lot.
“If anyone were to ask which Jamaican restaurant sells the best Oxtail meal, I will always say D&D’s.” Yvonne M., Google review
Another regular called it “a one stop shop for meat, poultry, and fish” and said the staff “treat you like family.” That matches my experience.
Why I built them a website
D&D has always been good to my grandma. Every time. That’s the kind of place it is.
They had a Google listing and a paper menu. That’s it. If you were new to the area and searched “Jamaican food Port St. Lucie,” you couldn’t see what they served, what it cost or when the specials ran.
So as a thank you for years of feeding this community, I built them a website. Free.
What’s on the site
I kept it simple and made it look like their menu: the green and gold sunburst, the same logo, the same layout. Regulars should recognize it right away.
- The full food menu with medium and large prices, lunch specials and daily dishes
- The meat market list, so you know what to ask for
- A tap-to-call button at the top of every page
- Hours and one-tap directions in Google Maps or Apple Maps
- Real reviews from Google
It loads fast on a phone, which is where most people look up food.
